I'm so glad you've joined me on this journey. In this blog, I'll be sharing my personal experiences and insights as I navigate life with an idiopathic, non-progressive form of Ataxia.
Idiopathic non-progressive Ataxia is a neurological disorder that affects my coordination and balance. It's a condition I've had to learn to live with, and I believe that sharing my experiences can help others who may be going through something similar.
Throughout this blog, I'll discuss various aspects of my healing journey. From the initial diagnosis to the ongoing management of symptoms, I'll share the ups and downs, the challenges and triumphs, and everything in between.
I'll also explore different treatment options I've tried and share my thoughts on their effectiveness. While there may not be a cure for idiopathic non-progressive Ataxia, I firmly believe that there are ways to manage and improve the symptoms. I'll be sharing my experiences with physical therapy, medication, and alternative therapies that have helped me along the way.
Moreover, I want to emphasize the importance of self-care and mental health in the face of chronic illness. Dealing with a condition like Ataxia can be emotionally draining, and it's essential to prioritize our mental well-being. I'll be discussing the strategies I've found helpful in coping with the emotional aspects of my journey.
I hope that by sharing my story, I can provide support and inspiration to others who are also living with idiopathic non-progressive Ataxia. We can create a community to share our experiences, exchange advice, and encourage each other.

Heather, while I do not have your condition; I have fought many of my own battles and challenges. Emotional drain can make a person just feel like throwing in the towel and I look forward to hearing about the strategies that you used to overcome and persevere. I was binge watching Facts of Life and thought the episodes with you on them were terrific. This is how I became familiar with you and in turn, found out about the condition that you have. Prior to that I had never heard of it before. I look forward to learning.
Brian
Heather, thank you. I don’t just want to praise you for your obvious courage however. I want to learn from you, what must have become your protocols for overcoming your visceral instincts to just not fight. I just left a comment in your other blog about that. Again, please share more. - Albert
